I bought mine from Woolworths and the first copy was faulty, as was often the case with VHS of that era, era?

    From The Doctor Who Newspage:

Tom Baker has confirmed he has now recorded the commentary track for the 2011 release of The Seeds of Doom, along with John Challis who played Scorby in the story and Philip Hinchcliffe who was producer at the time.

Given the part that John Challis is now famous for, i can't help thinking of Scorby's death scene without adding the line "That's the last time I buy pond plants from Derek Trotter!"

I'm not usually that fussed about commentaries, but I'd always hoped that John Challis would do this one! Add in my favourite Doctor and producer and it's looking pretty good!

Ooh, there's a welcome surprise! Mind you, as I'm planning to make this my first pre-order since War Games, I'd better get on with the Trial and fit that in first...

You're not seriously going to get around to watching Trial, are you Jonno?

I'm looking forward to this one! In fact, I might even be keen on watching it again without the commentary. I could play all day in my green cathedral!

Did we ever find out why La Sladen doesn't do commentaries any more?
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

I don't think so. There's been plenty of speculation, but nothing official.

I must say, after a rather lacklustre year of releases thus far I'm REALLY looking forward to getting SOD next month - an all time classic in my humble opinion and there's the added bonus of having Tom on the commentary track too

So is this the last "Stripped for Action", then?

Unless they're going to do New Series ones?

I will miss Stripped for Action, and will be making a concerted effort to watch them all, back-to-back and in chronological order!

Maybe they'll do a Cybermen one on The Tenth Planet?
