Default You blind male fool! Mara Tales on DVD - Out Now!

Classic DW on Twitter have released a trailer for the Mara Tales boxset, with the tagline coming 2011...

So I guess Kinda and Snakedance will be on the way next year!

@classicDW I think- can't acces it at work though. If you can see who I'm following, you'll find it there.

Is it me or does the scene in the trailer where Hindle screams "PUT THE LIGHT ON!" look as though the RT have fiddled and darkened it? Obviously the original scene would have been dark, and I haven't checked, but I doubt it was originally THAT dark, was it?

I guess the answer to that is that this way we get two boxsets, whereas the other way we'd only have got one! And apart from the nicely designed boxes they come in, they also work out cheaper than individual releases.

I hope it doesn't mara your enjoyment of the episode.

Saw mention in DWM that there is new CGI in this set. Did we know this? Do you think they have a go at the Snake? There's little other visual effects work in these two stories is there? No guns or anything.

I saw that but I don't remember seeing a new snake. Was there one?

Perhaps I just thought I was remembering the old Snake as better than it was!

Well, if they could digitaly remove the 'Blue Peter made with a shoebox and kids megaphone toy held together with sticky-backed plastic and painted green' guns in Kinda and replace them with something a little less comical it might be good....

That's really impressed me! They really make a great box design compared to individual releases?

It looks like every other box set design to me!

Why is the design for the whole box set basically just the same as the Snakedance cover, but with a different Davison pic and Martin Clunes reversed? And no I'm not really expecting an answer.
