I'm suspecting that they had two great (great!) designs for the Silurians and couldn't decide which one to use.
I spotted an early design in the confidential that I thought looked really good!

So the best design they didn't even use!

Why not have had THREE tribes of Silurians? That would have been cool! They should have made "Blood Heat", that would have been good.

They already seem too much like a cross between the Jem'Hadar and the Minbari.

    The Min'Hadar? The Jembari?
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I quite enjoyed it but my expectations were so low. The children on the other hand loved it. They loved the Silurians and they're looking forward to this weeks one.

Awww honey, you haven't been to Wales have you? I'll take you to my Grandma's hamlet sometime

I agree that the whole wiring up thing was a bit crap - how and why did they have all that stuff ready to go? Wiring up a system like that takes ages.

I rather liked it, and am looking forward to part 2.

I must admit that I am sick of seeing Amy's legs. Sorry honey.
Why build an engine when you have a perfectly good whale?

    Me too!

    That's strange. I've hardly noticed Amy's legs.

On the other hand, she does have these sort-of bags just under her eyes that make her look a bit tired.

No offence, Steve, but I doubt Amy's legs hold the same appeal for you as they do for me....

Personally I'm rather enjoying them, and I must 'praise' the cameramen and editors for their sterling work in ensuring that, despite the astonishing brevity of Amy's hemlines, her knickers have never yet made it into shot!

I now have a disturbing image of Jason going through his recordings frame by frame to back up that statement....

Well, I hadn't thought of it, but in the interest of scientific rigour....

"Don't worry darling, it's for the benefit of mankind!"

"Yes, the number of wives that have heard that one before! GET OUT!" etc.
