Gary Coleman has died

Shocking news.

I'd heard he was ill following a fall, but this death has really come out of the blue. I don't just remember him from Diff'rent Strokes, but also as that child president from a couple of Buck Rogers episodes.

I clicked on a BBC Newspage link earlier that said "Gary Coleman's condition worsens" to find he was in fact dead. Doesn't get much worse really.

What a shame. He's had a troubled life since Different Stroke. In fact all the child cast did - almost like the program was cursed. But then a lot of child stars who don't make it as adults have difficulty adjusting.
