Me too! Perhaps he will appear as Cliff Kirk, grandfather of James T Kirk and top clubland singer!

Will this film have day-glo colour jerseys, kinky boots, mini-skirts, flip top communicators, a blinding white coloured Enterprise (with orangey bit) and soft focus close-ups in the romatic scenes? Let's hope so!

Watched "Star Trek VI- the undiscovered country" on Channel five last week and really enjoyed the old crew again. That's my favourite Trek film alongside "Star Trek II".
I must admit, just when I think I'm king, I just begin!

I'm confident that there is a good chance that this will be the worst Star Trek film ever made!

Still, can't wait to see it.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Oh, they could fit him in easily. And Nimoy. You can imagine a pre-titles sequence in which Spock and Jim are chatting about the good old days, ending with one of them saying "Remember when we first met...?" and bosh! Opening titles...

    Same here.

I'm not really interested in this latest project. The fact that they're having to go back to using Kirk & Spock, just says it all. Star Trek, much as i love it, has had it's day.
I admit, i really like 'Enterprise', though. They should've just let it run the full 7 seasons & then consigned Star Trek to Sci-Fi history while they were still more or less ahead.

They should have ye olde (ie, as they are now) Kirk and Spock going back in time for some reason to their Academy days. I'm no great ST fan, although I do enjoy the films, but even so I would find a 'young Kirk & co' film pretty dull I think.

I'll ask again, which Trek film with the kinky boots?

Please tell me Shatner doesn't wear them.

The franchise has some life left in it, but only if it's left for s fair few years and then reinvented, as they did when STNG came out, or for that matter, the same way they've dealt with Doctor Who.
This film coming out now is a bad mistake though, it's a wild stab at getting another popular segment to the ongoing movie series and is more likely to fail than to succeed.

Come on, Pip dear, keep up - there were no short skirts and kinky boots in the films, only in the original series. Plus in the Tribble episode of DS9, which had the gorgeous Dax wearing that outfit. Ooh la la!

I agree with Paul. It might stand a chance if they rested it for a few years.

That skirt is too long for today's TV.

I don't think the skirt that Dax wore was quite as short as the 60's skirts.
Can't be arsed to find pics for Pip. Find 'em yourself.

    Kiss my arse Jefferies.

That pic of Uhuru is better. So Star Trek isn't totally a sausage fest.

I see Andrew beat us both to it, anyway.

Although we do need a pic of Yeoman Rand.
