    What a sad, sad story. One of the snooker greats, and it sounds like smoking destroyed his life.

    At least now he's found peace - it sounds like he had an awful last few years of his life.

    Such a sad bit of news, poor guy - I'd not seen that more recent picture until now, he's almost unrecognisable. I guess he was a bit controversial, but he was a great showman, one of the real 'names' of snooker and just very exciting to watch. RIP Alex.
