I sent an e-mail to the webmaster address earlier about the infernal error, but for the moment at least it's cleared up.

I spent an hour trying to get in. Who fancies going round to Castle Server with lit torches and pitchforks? hmm?

To be fair, I'm pretty sure Pip was at Harpi Towers yesterday (and possible today as well) which is why we had problems for as long as we did - usually he's on the case straightaway. It's fixed now anyway, so thanks Pip!

I'm sure Pip knows by now that no-one's complaining at him, but nevertheless, Streamline have been far from impressive.

Indeed Monitor, indeed. As Andrew said I've been unable to get online all weekend, though I did pop on for five minutes after Saturday's Who to give the server a quick kick up the arse. I'm on my lunch break now but I'll have a good look this evening. Hang on in there.

I posted in the Happy Birthday LP thread this morning. It's now 14:09 and this is the first time I have been able to get in here today. I have had database errrors each time I tried to access the forum.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Update for yers all:
Issue: MySQL / AuthSMTP / StreamlineFTP.Net
Date/Time: 15/04/2008 07:28:37
Some customers may currently be experiencing issues when connecting to our MySQL servers/AuthSMTP servers and StreamlineFTP.Net. Our engineers are currently investigating and hope to have this resolved as soon as possible. Our apologies for any inconvenience in the meantime.
UPDATE 1:
Access to some servers has been restored, our engineers are continuing to investigate this as a priority and hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.
UPDATE 2 - 1200:
We now believe that resolution of the connectivity problems suffered to some servers is not likely to be complete before mid-afternoon. This is being investigated as a priority by our engineers. Again our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
UPDATE 3 - 1300:
The underlying cause of the connectivity problem experienced to our MySQL / AuthSMTP and StreamlineFTP.Net servers has been identified as a hardware failure in one of our core network switches. We are working to bring the affected servers back online as quickly as possible and now anticipate that this work will be complete within the next 2-3 hours.
UPDATE 4 - 1400:
Work to resolve the connectivity problem that developed this morning for some of our servers continues. While we are aware that connectivity has been restored for a number of affected servers we believe that a complete resolution is still 1-2 hours away. We would like to thank our customers for their patience as we work on this problem.
UPDATE 5 - 1545:
Our engineers have advised us that connectivity to all MySQL and SMTP servers should now be resolved. Once testing has been completed we will close this service status message. Our apologies again for any inconvenience this may have caused.

UPDATE
Some customers may be experiencing issues with our crap service.
We apologize once again for being wank. But we can now confirm that our engineer fixed things with an elastic band, and so hopefully our service won't be quite as rubbish for as long as the elastic band holds out.
