Default Crumbs Chief! Dangermouse on Stage

    Ooh Crumbs!

This summer and autumn sees the return of the world’s Number 1 secret agent in his first ever theatre tour. He is so secret that even his codename has a codename.

The whole Danger Mouse team are back together from Colonel K and trusty sidekick Penfold, to arch enemies Baron Silas Greenback, Nero and Stiletto. There is even a special appearance from Agent 57, see if you can spot him..?

This all new family show charts Danger Mouse from his early years before he became the famous crime busting crusader right up to 2010. When the retired secret agent - upholder of justice, lover of small puppies, helper of old ladies across the road and all round nice guy who’d help anyone out of a jam (or even marmalade come to that) is called upon to save the world one more time!

This nostalgic eighties character show is ideal for children from five to one hundred and five.

Oh look - they're coming to Camberley!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I wonder if rewatching it stands the test of time?

Dangermouse is one of those shows that stands up pretty well when you're watching it as an adult. There's lots of jokes that work for adults as well as kids and while in someways the animation is a bit basic in places, it works because it has its own style- it's not like anything else.

The stageplay looks like it recreates the style of the cartoon pretty well. I just wonder if the acting is up to the high standards set by David Jason and Terry Scott.

The main question is: how are they going to get Penfold's eybrows to float in the air above his eyes??

So how do the actors work this? They have microphones in their costumes or are they "miming" to pre-recording dialogue?
I remember that scene in a sitcom where a guest character tried on a Danger Mouse head that Donald Sinden (might not have been him?) had put superglue around the collar?
I do remember the Potty Part Of The Universe and am rather saddened that'll be a bit hard to do in a theatre?
I'd like to see them break the fourth wall at least?
    And no Liverpool?

There's usually a pre-recorded soundtrack which the actors in costumes act along to.

The joys of having kids means you sit through a lot of similar things!
