Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, which if I finish it will probably be the longest book I've ever read (1168 pages)...

    Yay for Midwich Cuckoos!

I've reached Book 3 of A Song Of Ice And Fire, which is probably called A Storm Of Swords Part One, but who's following these things? It's more of the same, which is quite good. I keep thinking that GRRM should skip 10 years, or kill off more characters more quickly. But I'll be fine.

Really. I always consider Mort one of his worst. Not as bad as Maskerade granted but still a long way of his usual standards.

I've just started on A Morbid Taste For Bones by Ellis Peters. I've not read any Cadfael books before but had meant to for some time. Hope its good.

I thought it was the one where he was just getting into his stride, but there you go.

I'm reading The Haunted Hotel by Wilkie Collins. It's all very mysterious! No sign of any ghosts or supernatural going-ons yet, but there's definitely something afoot.

George Cole's autobiography. I didn't realise that Alistair Sim had so much of an influence on him, both in his professional and personal life, as Mr & Mrs Sim virtually adopted George has he started acting at such a young age. I also didn't know that George was in a 1953 film called "Will Any Gentleman...?" starring William Hartnell and Jon Pertwee!

Not quite sure what happened last summer. I think I temporarily abandoned reading after my exams finished. Anyway I finally started Rome: The Art of War around Christmas time and even though I should be back to more scholarly readings for my degree I'm enjoying it too much to put it on hold for another six months. I hope this novel won't be the last we hear of the emperor's spy...
