This is my first effort at a dvd cover, it's nowhere near as good as Pip's, but I'm slowly learning to do things (& the text now all looks a lot nicer in the full sized vs), I think I'll just use this one for a bit and then play around with making it more professional and sexy looking!

Nice one Alex What do you use?

Cheers Pip! I'm quite happy with the back cover, but the front one I can see myself redesigning in the near future.
The graphic programme I use is called Paint.net, it's freeware and I downloaded it off the net a couple of weeks ago, as my old graphics programme (which came with a scanner) wasn't Windows Vista compatible.
The main problem with it is that it's a little limited in what it can do, and it's a little bit differently designed, so it's taken me a while to find certain features, etc. I used to use Photoshop in my old job and it was lovely, I found it much easier to get cool effects and stuff with it than I can with this one, but I can't afford it at the mo. Though I may have to go to a torrent site I know and get it one day soon, because I used to really enjoying just messing around with it."RIP Henchman No.24."

It's fun to make covers, you feel a real sense of achievement when they're sitting on your shelf. Keep it up Alex, and I'd definitely recommend you use Photoshop, it's invaluable to me.
Here's my latest bit of Photoshopping:
PS. Alex, mentioning the 'T word' and certain related activities isn't a good idea round here, mate.

T-Word?

I'm truly not sure but I think it might be the word 'Torrent'. Something to do with 'copies'?

Both words being naughty and bad and should be kept to PMs.

Perhaps we should have set the swear filter to deal with the T word?

But what would we do if we started a thread about heavy rain? We'd have to find other adjectives

Well there's downpour. That'd do for starters... or deluge or heavy shower... or...

I've been very creative today - there's a couple of things I can't show you (they must remain under wraps), but there's this DVD cover:
The cloudy TARDIS isn't my work though, the original can be found here.

I'm sure Tim will approve of the back cover pics. I'm intrigued that Pip thinks the best four pics to sum up the entire 1963-1989 run are laughs, cleavage, big hair, and dodgy CSO.
Oh, actually I see your point, Pip.

I'm liking the BBC website homepage montages, so I'm using them for my series 3 collection, rather than designing covers from scratch:

Very nice! Very blue!
As ever, I like your contents description on the back (what little I can make out, that is!) - 'Ye olde Doctor Who' indeed!
