My excuse is that I was in bed at 8 last night, having been on my feet at Otley Show all day. And I'm going back to bed in a minute.

This is early for me.
I'm off in half hour to visit my Mum for a couple of days, now she's back home.

Hi Wayne! Hope you are well!
I was in the middle of a weird dream this morning when my alarm rudely woke me up today. I was at the post office disputing something with Sinbad from Brookside and suddenly there it was BABABABABABA! Time to get up! *groan*

Urgh.
I have a sore throat.
I have been sneezing since 4:30 this morning.
I feel stiff (although I was down the gym last night).
I have a cold (as if you couldn't guess!).
and I want to go back to bed.
Yet I can't get to sleep; I just spend my time with my mind racing (thank you left hemisphere!)
When I do manage to quieten it; I want to sneeze, clear my throat or do a number of other things to fix myself up; at which point my brain wakes up and the process begins again.Assume you're going to Win

Good morning to Andrew and Paul!
It's a sunny Friday morning here in Bracknell. The house smells of cake and Anzac biscuits after last night's baking session and you know what I think it's going to be a nice day!
Hope you're all well this morning.

It's like the Archive shelf labelled Fury from the Deep at the moment - ie, totally empty.
Er, well apart from me that is. Well, good morning in advance to anybody who's around later on. It's looking rather grey outside this morning, so I think I may leave the bike at home today and take the car instead (wuss).

I'm a bit late today because Steve isn't going to work, so I had a lie in. It's good.

How come Steve has a day off, so you get the lie in?
Morning Si and Andrew, by the way!

It's all perfectly easy to explain. Steve gets up earlier than i do every day, and so he usually brings me a cup of tea at 6.45ish. I don't actually have to be at work until 9.45 today, and usually I have a hour and a bit to potter around at home doing not very useful things before I leave for work. Today we stayed in bed until the outrageous time of 7.30, so we both got a lie in.
Now Steve is busy glossing the woodwork in the hall and I'm almost ready to go to work.

I hope Steve has a nice day happily touching up his wood.
My day of pottering is over alas, and I'm back in an empty office. Everyone is leaving, and it gets quieter every day! It's like the Marie Celeste. Or the Titanic.

Morning to Steve, and Si, and Si. Bit chillier (not to mention damper) here this morning, but at least 'tis Friday. Have a good day all.

Morning all!
I've got a headache from the fumes of the gloss painting Steve did yesterday. It looks good though, so I'll put up with it!
I'm in the mood for ABBA. It is Friday and now I'm smiling after listening to Ah Vilka Tider, an early song in Swedish. It brings back some happy memories of stuff and things.
I'm rambling. Oh dear.

Hello everybody!
I've made a lemon drizzle to take into work today, as a good member of the team is leaving. Unfortunately it looks a bit charred, but as we all know charred cake doesn't taste any worse than normal cake. My cakes always taste better than they look! I do this thing whereby I chuck the lemon juice in with the cake mixture (which I have done ever since Si accidentally did it one time and it tasted better! Do you remember Si?) which tastes delicious but unfortunately makes the cake look stodgy inside.
So there you go, my lemon cakes. Look horrid, taste lovely!
But it's what's inside that counts. Inside that right K9?

Ah, the beauty that is experience. I don't use gloss anymore for similar reasons. I use Satinwood. It has less oil in so isn't as hard wearing (but then we don't have kids so that's no problem) but it also has less fumes & dries faster. It also stays whiter longer, gloss has a tendency to go yellowish after a few years.

Everyone seems to be decorating at the moment!
We're due to do the paintwork in our lounge tomorrow (actually, when I say 'we' I mean Martin as I'll be at HaRpi Towers! ) and we always use Satinwood too, though just because we prefer the matt look to gloss rather than the fumes.
