This should be a two-disc release, really. So they can pretend that it's 2x two parters rather than 1x four parter. Someone could be fooled.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

    No-one was fooled!

I really like that cover. Let's hope they keep it in B&W!

Apparently the 2 discs thing is a misprint (that's why it's a draft apparently!).

well there isn't enough material to stick on 2 discs as for the cover it's for me one of the better ones.

I always thought the Ark was one of the lost stories - don't laugh!

I wish it were missing in favour of Power of the Daleks or another worthier story.

Bloody Ian Levine, saving rubbish stories!

I really like it though. I'd rather this survive than anything from Season 1 (except "Marco Polo").

    Controversial.

I think there's a lot to like about it- the first time I saw it was when the VHS came out and I was pleasantly surprised. It's an attempt to do slightly harder sci-fi and it had a bit of money spent on it.

I love it - even the rather 'tally-ho' commander in the first two episodes!! And the actual shots of the end of the Earth are actually pretty good (from memory anyway).

They had a real elephant in studio. It's a small point, but a big elephant. Someone went to some effort here.

And the opening shot, panning through a (very good) jungle up to a Monoid, is marvellous.

Didn't Peter Purves have an issue with a certain elephant on Blue Peter?
