The latter is the star of the Harry Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe, who had the misfortune to have a steel gromit lodged in his eye by co-star Emma Watson, who plays Hermione. She also put a lampshade up his arse and a My Little Pony shawl around his genitals, but the production team don't refer to the second two incidents. Or, come to think of it, the first. The former is a bridge.

Other than the fact that Steely Dan is actually an influential American jazz-inspired AOR band, formed in the 1970's and built around the core duo of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, whose most famous recordings include 'Reelin' In The Years', 'Do It Again' and 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number', and that Steeleye Span are a perennial British folk group, fronted by Maddy Prior and once featuring the legendary Martin Carthy in their ranks, their most famous song being 'All Around My Hat', Dave is spot on.

Trudi went to see Steeleye Span at the Rainbow Theatre in 1974. She was eight years old.

She's still got the scars to prove it...

'All Around My Hat' is a top tune.

As a Status Quo number, All Around My Hat is indeed great. It's quite atypical of much of Steeleye's work, though. It's difficult to pin down exactly what "typical" is for a band that has gone through quite so many line ups, though.

Perhaps the content of "Below The Salt" is a reasonable place to start, though there are any number of compilations of variable quality.

He did NOT "give it away" - you have to do the math - which in my experience most people can't do in this day and age!

    I prefer Bill Bailey's version.

'All around my hat I will wear a tiny mammal...'
