I love that caption: "You're either Nexus or Against Us." It almost lulled me into thinking it was a clever play on words, just for a moment!

I've just heard that a dwarf has been pick-pocketed in the street outside our office - I don't know how some people can stoop so low!

Incredibly slow acer computer has meant I've been offline for the past few days.
    Have I missed anything?

Because of the recent Government cutbacks, Admiral Eustace Hogwash has been asked to comment on the current state of the Royal Navy. He replied "Young man, I am the Royal Navy! Once I've finished bobbing up and down in the middle of the South Atlantic paddling my own canoe, I shall tell the PM to do the same."

A Death in the Family takes place after the TV story Survival, immediately after release 139, Project: Destiny and between release 45, Project: Lazarus and release 49, Master.
I'm confused before even starting the free CD I got for penning my recent DWM Star Letter.

The gist of that helpful nugget is that story number 140 takes place after story number 139.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

Are you keeping up? Do you have them all? I thought I was free but they've dragged me back after 2 years and I've spent a lot of money I haven't got today.

I am keeping up though I tend to leave them until I've got a whole trilogy to listen to so only actually listen to them 4 times a year. The Ace/Hex trilogy is an odd one because it peaks in the middle with Death in the Family and ends with the banal Lurkers at Sunlight's Edge. Normally the trilogies peak at the end like proper trilogies. Death in the Family is, as I said a while ago, staggeringly good but needs a bit of background knowledge to appreciate it.

There are 20 frogs in our pond.

    And they're all at it.

Good grief, is that what it is? I thought it was a banana, and was in the middle of peeling it. I was wondering why it was chirrupping...

On Saturday night we had a dog in the house and this evening there's a cat in the kitchen. It must've snuck in after either my sidekick or me. I scared it off with loud noises while sidey opened the back door and tried to interest it in anything that might be going on outside.
