Backing Up Music
What bit-rate should I use to create my MP3 backups? What's the highest I can use without losing ear-detectable quality?

The best program to use (I find) is CDex. http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/
Most of our files are at variable bit rate, with 256 being the highest. Generally at 256 you'll get very little compression and an average album will rip to around 100-150mb. Which should be fine.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!
