    Default Happy Anniversary! 46 years!

As well as being the first day on the new Planet Skaro, it's also of course the 43rd anniversary of the beginning of Doctor Who! Hooray!

Are you the kind of fan that's always celebrated the anniversary? Have you sat down at 5.15 and watched An Unearthly Child? What have you done to celebrate the anniversary down the years?

    Si xx

    Default Happy Anniversary 43 Years.

Si, you and I seem to be on the same wavelength this morning, I've just started the very same thread in "The Original Series" board. Feel free to move it/delete, if that's at all possible.

Anyway, happy anniversary Doctor, I would love to sit down this afternoon at 5-15 but I have to be in work early today, so I shall have to find time over the weekend to celebrate.

I've deleted the other thread, Steve, although I think it's worth posting here what you posted there:

"43 years young today, Happy Birthday Doctor Who, that British Institution we all love so much, created by the BBC and still going strong today, and more popular than ever. Long may it continue to entertain and enthrall us, no matter how old we are."

Says it all really doesn't it!

And who'd have thought we'd be here with a wonderful new series, the show being one of the most popular on UK TV? Just a few years ago, that whole idea seemed really unlikely!

    Happy Anniversary!

Of course, it's also the 23rd anniversary of "Silver Nemesis" but we won't dwell on that...

    Default Happy anniversary Doctor

    Cheers Andrew

We all have cause to celebrate today, this show has made us all happy through the years, from those of us who were in (almost) from the beginning, to the new fans who are enjoying David Tennent, I for one am glad to see the show so successful, and gathering awards too. Isn't it Fantastic.

Just think, in two years time it'll be the silver anniversary of the silver anniversary story.

Alas, at 5:15 today I shall be stripping down an espresso machine so will have no time to watch Doctor Who. However, tonight I might watch "The Aztecs" to celebrate, in place of my usual marathon through Next Gen. Is that okies?

    I am out there... somewhere.

There's nothing wrong with the Aztecs, but I might treat myself to An Unearthly Child today if I have time.

I might watch some Who today, I'm not one for celebrating anniversaries like that, but this time I think I might.

    But which, hmm?

I used to watch the first episode every year religiously at 5:16. It's been a while since I did that though. Too many other things to watch these days... it'd clash with "Neighbours" wouldn't it?

Goodo. Only reason I chose that one is 'cause my nephew and I are working our way through all Who DVDs and I fell asleep watching "The Aztecs" the other night (I tell ya, trying to watch a DVD at two in the morning when you got up twenty-two hours before is a *****!).

Why don't we all have a mass viewing of the Aztecs this evening?

    With cocoa.

Good idea. But mind if I swap the cocoa for Cream Soda or Coffee? Not a fan of cocoa.

Ant, you better watch out who you drink cocoa with, or you might find yourself engaged!

Hell, let's all go mad and watch The Space Museum. Rock on.

Yikes! I'd rather have my finger nails removed! (Of course, I don't do Doctor Who videos, or indeed videos full stop, so don't own "The Space Museum".)

Ah, so not actually a special Doctor Who holiday for the whole of America then!

There are so many anniversaries today, including the third birthday of Zagreus. Just thought I'd mention that because it takes about three years to listen to the whole thing, bless the Big Finish.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Happy Birthday, Doctor! (is he included in the birthday list? )

I've never really celebrated by watching any Who down the years (apart from Silly Nemesis, but I don't tell may people! ) but I can never go past the date without realising its significance!

    Hi all,

Its good to be here at the new PS. I havent quite got it all sussed out yet, but what Ive seen so far looks very good.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOCTOR WHO he doesnt look a day over 42 you know!!!

I can only agree with all the nice comments so far, who would have thought the original show would have lasted so long?
And who could ever have thought that the show would return and become popular all over again (popular enough to earn a spin-off or two).
    Its excellent isnt it?

Ive still not got my internet access up and running at my new home yet so I may not post quite as often as usual for another week or so.

    Oh..and another thing!!

Its great that this new website allows me to have the hyphen in my user name ezboard wouldnt allow it!!!

    Andrew
