Blimey! It is happening then. I'd heard rumours earlier in the week, but dismissed them...

Interesting site. Can't help noticing that as much as David must have made recently he still is asking for donations to run a website promoting his work.

Is it just me that thinks this is a bit off?

Will be interesting to find out if Tennant-mania has gone off the boil a bit.
Remember, just because Davros is dead doesn't mean the Dalek menace has been contained ......

We got tickets too. I got them for Steve's birthday, and we're off to see it at the end of May. Should be good- it's a very enjoyable play from what I remember. Catherine Tate will be excellent casting for Beatrice.

Finally went last night and it was really brilliant- a very successful setting in the 80s worked (lovely costumes) with the songs reworked into versions that sounded not entirely unlike famous 80s hits and clever staging that worked hard to convey a larger area than the stage itself.

Tennant and Tate were, of course, excellent. DT had some fabulous comic moments that stole the show and while Catherine Tate played Beatrice like a Catherine Tate character (she was quite Donna at times) she was still an equal match for him. The highlight for me was DT doing his impression of Vera Jundrey from the PS Audios! Oh yes, he really did, in costume too.

I wonder if Jody could be persuaded to see this...if there are any tickets left.

I think she'd really enjoy it Paul. You probably both would. It's a great show.

Random thought - aren't David and Catherine sick of the sight of eachother yet?

From the Doctor Who newspage- for anyone who missed it earlier this year:

The much acclaimed London production of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate is now available to stream or download from Digital Theatre.

The production, which ran to full houses at Wyndham's Theatre in the West End, breaking all previous Box Office records for the theatre, was directed by Josie Rourke and saw David Tennant play Benedict with Catherine Tate as Beatrice.

48 hour rental costs £5.99, or you can download the play for £8.99 (£10.99 HD)
