On I-Tunes? I hadn't heard about this before. I wonder what the picture quality is like?
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Would it be mean to say that that's the best cover Frontios has ever had?

Depends on your definition of mean. If it happens to mean "right", then be as mean as you wish!

Slightly missed chance to make the TARDIS roundels in the picture stretch up and join up with the ones behind the logo.

Of course, if they'd held off twelve months and released this next year, we could have all had endless fun posting "thirty years!" type quotations...

That's not right- it'll be 30 years in 2014! Even my maths can work that one out!

Can I just say I love Frontios? What a witty script it has... and the deleted scenes with all the business with the Doctor screwdrivering Tegan and great fun too.

Although I'm not so anti-Caves these days, I'd still say Frontios is really Peter's last great story. Not just a well-made, moody story with a clever plot, but there are also some really great character moments - two particular favourites with me are firstly, the relish with which Mark Strickson says "the DOOMED planet Earth" and second is the rather lovely exchange between Norna and Turlough, where she tells him "it was a child's answer, made sense at the time... He said, the earth was... hungry."
Not to mention the hours of fun me & my mate Peter Smith had back in 1984 referring to the monsters as 'Castrators' - ah, we had to make our own entertainment in those days...

It's definitely my favourite Davison story. It's his best ever performance- forget Androzani- here's the real fifth Doctor, the one we should ahve seen throughout his era- fun, witty, desperate and lovely- especially so when wearing his glasses.

The commentary is one of the dullest, more boring and negative things I've heard. By the end of pt 2 i don't want to hear any more, and that's rare for a Davison. But what with Eric Saward whingeing, Dick Mills there for no readily apparent reason and everyone harping on about how bad it is, I'm losing the will to live.
Fortunately, the documentary was really good stuff. Nice set of interviews and a wickedly accurate impression of JNT from Mark Strickson!

Eric Sorearse really needs to get over it. His 'blame it on John' routine wore thin long ago.
