True... and yet, they do look very nice indeed don't they!

I'm not quite sure who they're aimed at - they're too affordable to be the collector market (a la the myriad of Classic Action Figures). Is there a surge of interest in the old Target books because of the CD releases I wonder?

Either way, they are a bit tempting - my copy of The Cave Monsters is definitely a bit tatty...

I bet they don't smell like the originals. Sniff it!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I ended up buying them all today. I didn't intend to, they just looked so gorgeous! All clean and well printed and in a 3 for 2 offer in Waterstones.
Somehow it seemed appropriate that it was almost 30 years to the day that I bought my first ever Target books with my birthday money in Bracknell town centre, there I was today doing exactly the same thing.

I sort of caved today, and let Zel buy me two of these in the "Buy One, Get One Half Price" at WHS today. After much soul-searching, I went for The Auton Invasion and The Crusaders. And as you say Si, they look so gorgeous. I like the Doctor appearing on the spine, the colour schemes, just the whole feel of them. Beautiful!

Now we know where we'll be living next week, I just took the plunge and ordered all six via Amazon UK!

There are more on the way, according to Facebook.

All early ones again, Sea Devils, Doomsday Weapon, Loch Ness Monster etc.

All I need to know is: does The Crusaders still contain a) "Dr Who's space/time ship Tardis" and b) "David Cameron"?

The only time when "lovely" and "David Cameron" will ever be used in conjunction with each other.

Unless the sentence is "Isn't it lovely that David Cameron is leaving".

Or "Wasn't it a tragedy when the gold disc of Bill Withers' Lovely Day was flung at David Cameron like a discus, slicing his shiny, ham-faced head in two like a toffee apple?"

What an absolute waste of a gold disc!

The neck's made of material that isn't quite as thick.:

    That's a good set.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I'm excited! I wonder who'll be doing the various introductions this time?
