How much crime is there in your street?
A new website, www.police.uk has been launched. You type in your postcode and go to the "Crime Map" tab, and it shows you all the offences that have been commited in your street, and what type they are.
Useful, I guess, for noting the burglerys in your area.

I live in a town of antisocial behaviour and 'other crime', apparently - with only burglary.
Better keep stum about the brothel I'm running in the shed at the end of the gardne then, just past the illegal still.Bazinga !

Three of the 58 recorded crimes in Otley apparently took place more or less outside the police station, according to that map.
No real surprises, though. Mostly antisocial behaviour and "violent crime"- for which read drunken brawling.

Sounds like Loughton!
Talkin of which, 158 crimes in January, of which 56 were Anti-social behaviour (quelle suprise!), and 46 were "others". I shall have to tell the Lads it's not good enough!
On a serious note, one of those crimes was a break-in an subsequent rape in the cricket club. I gather they may have struck again in the ladies loo in Morrisons a couple of weeks ago. And just last week there was an "incident" in M&S. Rather worrying!

The thing with statistics is that they can be (mis)represented in different ways. One town can have many postcodes only a street apart which can give different results.
I pity people lining in Ilford though. 1263 crimes in January- 420 ASB!
