Here here - got to get the beers in now!

Hope England do better than their recent track record, failing that would like to see Wales do well.

Everyone might as well pack up and go home now that England have won the Calcutta Cup/Triple Crown/Grand Slam/Six Nations/World Cup... according to John Inverdale. Sounded like Eddie Butler (If he loves Wales so much, how come he now seems to live up Wilkinson's backside? ) was w*nking Brian Moore throughout the BBC1 commentary. I'll be listening to the rest of the matches with the no commentary option. Arrogant twats!

Hmm, Jonny Wilkinson 27 Scotland 20...and no, I don't see how the video referee could give the foot in touch either! The important thing for England is to put some distance between themselves and the smaller nations- the games which really matter this year are France and Ireland.

Given where my family lived for many years, I wouldn't be surprised if I had bits of all the home nations in me, so while England winning is great, I'm still part Stewart.

It was a fantastic game - I'm now trying to sober up from all that lunchtime drinking.

Looking forward to Wales-Ireland tomorrow - c'mon the Taffs!

Well, the first crunch match comes next week with Ireland v France in Dublin- after this week's round, I can't see the table changing all that much over the course of the tournament. The top three will probably be France, England and Ireland (in any order) and the bottom three Wales, Scotland and Italy- although a full-strength Wales may well be a different prospect.

    The result will be

    1) France
    2) Ireland
    3) England

well, with both O'Gara and O'Driscoll out for Ireland, and the possibility of Wilkinson out for England, I think that the second and third positions are in doubt. However, it does seem that the French will win

I think the overall table will be something like this:

    1. France
    2. England or Ireland
    3. England or Ireland
    4. Scotland
    5. Wales
    6. Italy

If we can edge it in Dublin then second place and the Triple Crown suddenly become very realistic.

But who cares? I'm off to see Otley v Doncaster tomorrow afternoon!

I think it's about right to say that Wales have had no luck whatsoever this year- there was the Easterby incident against Ireland and now this farce with the penalty which could have levelled the match, which looks like an honest mistake on the referee's part but is hard on a Welsh team which was trying to win the game.

The Six Nations is full of pub teams this year. Ireland and Wales are soooo overrated. Both of them struggled against a piss-poor Scotland.

    Glad I usually support France.*

    It was all too predictable.

Still can't believe that Eddie Butler is meant to be Welsh. Think I heard him saying "we" and "we're" a few times during the commentary. He's clearly a disgrace to his country and should be shot!

personaly I think the Welsh, were just as much to blame even if the ref had given them the time it's very doubtfull they'd of scored a try from the line out.

Loved Jonathan Davies's comment ("that's not going to happen" after John Inverdale pointed out that England can win if we beat Wales by more than 40-odd points next week. Considering that Wales are in "God, please make it stop" mode at the moment, anything can happen and it may well come down to points but with the World Cup in the autumn it would be good to see England at least second.

but of course that 40pts margin would depend on thr results from other games and baring a total Welsh collapse you certainly can't see England probably having to scor 50+ pts.
