I'd love to see Young Amelia Pond's parents shock when their Spanish maid takes Amelia out to get her "hairings" and Amelia returns with earrings.

    Whooops continuity!

He'll just have to break it again later.

We never actually see what the Krynoid would do when transforming a human female. Would they have a lovely bra of vines and green (cf. Torchwood's metal bra)?

A little vine-shaped hat with a flower poking out of the top might be more appropriate.

Just posted on Facebook about an old teacher who recently died. Another memory I have about her was she had a wonderful glass bookcase. If it was raining during break or lunchtimes, we could stay in and read. Amongst the collection was the first Who annual and a Dalek annual. It goes without saying I LOVED these books and re-read them on more than one occasion!

I think this was my first realisation that there were Doctors before Pertwee!

I see somebody asked Joe Straczynski on Twitter today if he'd like to write for Doctor Who. "I'd be honoured" was the reply. Sadly though, this will probably be as close as he ever gets...

"To begin with I found myself playing [the Doctor] over the top, mostly because Sydney Newman kept urging me to...but Shaun Sutton...was a little wiser than Sydney Newman. In fact considerably wiser in many ways! He said, 'No, no, just do it in your head old chap; you don't need all those stunts and so on.'

"So I toned it down more and more each week after that and it became warmer and a bit more successful."

    From 'The Sensorites':

Carol: How I long for a thick juicy steak.

John: Well you'll just have to make do with a small juicy fruit.

    Hmm.

Presumably the original script read "Dammit Carol I'm a mineralogist not a barbequeer. You'll just have to make do with a small juicy fruit."

"Barbequeer" - not a word to put in a script that Mr. Hartnell might make a mess of!

It's better to come out now and admit it, rather than let the world wonder!

    I'll rephrase that...

Nope. That's a few months ahead. Looks like I've got extra permission to zone out on Sunday!

Just wondering, if Moffat *had* gone the full Monty and cast a woman instead of Smith, would he have had the clothes regenerate too?
After all, a woman Doctor would have made a much stronger impact if the new body is suddenly wearing a pretty dress, lingerie and ladies high heels.

Hiya, the little girl in the dalek outfit is my niece, she's autistic and was finding it difficult coming to terms with the regeneration as Matts doctor is her imaginary friend, she was worried PCap wouldn't want to play with her. We are very ecstatic that he took time to reassure her. He's brilliant!

Well I think we've got the best ambassador for the programme ever. Now excuse me, just got something in my eye...
