I think Freema gets an undeserved kicking. She's really good

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

She's better than Amy for a start and largely less annoying than Rose Montrose.

She does seem to be the new series companion that's overlooked.

Oh well, if Power of the Daleks isn't going to turn up of its own accord, then at least we've always got Ian Levine (whatever you might think of him!) to rely on. Some images from his potential Daleks' Master Plan animation, released over his Facebook today.

Yeah, but we'll never actually get to see it, will we?

To be honest, maybe not. But there are two factors that I think stand in its favour: 1) Dan Hall is leaving his post next year, apparently. I would imagine that somebody else might be more kindly disposed towards these kinds of project (I believe Dan Hall's superior is also on the move). And 2) just the knowledge that it exists and that one day it might see the light is enough for me to want it to exist. I'd rather people were making these kinds of thing than not. And it also might bring them to the attention of BBCWW for official projects, too...

To be honest, I'd be happy for BBCWW to release "cheaper" animations of the missing stories just to get them out there and be able to see them. We'll never get Power of the Daleks or The Web of Fear at the price ThetaMation are charging, but I'd happily settle for less in order to get more.

Yes, but will the BBC happily settle for less? I can't see them putting something out that doesn't meet the standards that are already set.

Yeah, that's the problem, of course. And the reason why we probably never will get such things on DVD. But that's also why I'm glad that Ian Levine is at least trying to come up with animated versions that are professional enough that they might be considered. Whatever else you might think of him, he's put his money where his mouth is and given it a try.

Is it wrong to think animated Zoe in The Invasion is cuter than real life telefilm Zoe in The Invasion?

Mind of Evil among others I think. The panel with the black knobs is very familiar.

Apparently Twitter has been awash with comments that Emily Matliss read the BBC News dressed like a Sontaran! Can't quite see it myself.

Thank you! I saw the picture but had no idea what they were talking about. I was thinking "What female villains wear that sort of dress?" and the fact that it's a Sontaran... ouch! Well there goes sales of that dress then!
