It's a shame she's coming back to Doctor Who.

I was hoping for a 'Pond Life' spin-off series.

Or the press doing a Scarlett Johannson on her - things are looking up!

Were Freddie Jeager's Hartnell impressions in "The Savages" yet another experiment on the part of the production team to see if they could easily replace Hartnell?

That's possible isn't it? While the impression wasn't bad, it's to the shows eternal credit that they didn't go down that route and did something much more mysterious and wonderful instead.

    'very easy to customise'

Yes, pull it apart and start all over again and make something that actually looks like a TARDIS console. Seriously, that is awful

Oh! I see! It's in collapsed form is it? the base sticking through the hole where the time rotor's supposed to be? I wondered what it was supposed to do.

I took some old rubbish to the tip today and what was lying in the general rubbish skip when I got there...

"Daleks: The Early Years" on Cass-Ette.

    And it wasn't ours.

That's where they're all going to end up, I reckon. People are determined to get rid of their VHS's - and I don't think they'll ever be collector's items.

We're taking the whole of New Series Doctor Who on DVD to the charity shop shortly. All our vanilla releases. We don't want to, but we don't know anyone who wants it and we can't store them forever. There's even Series 5 on blu ray.

I remember those first Eccleston vanilla releases - they were ludicrously exciting! By the time we got to the Tennant era though, the charm had worn off.

Have they even done seperate releases for Matt Smith's era?

Yes although this year there was only a Part 1 release containing the first 7 episodes shown in the Spring and a Part 2 release for the Autumnal half of the series.
Anyone who bought those would have had to buy A Christmas Carol seperately for completism.

While researching the early 20th century Irish poet Louis MacNeice for an essay I'm writing, I discovered the useless nugget of information that his final relationship was with the actress Mary Wimbush, who had acted in some of his plays and who went on to play Aunt Lavinia in 'K9 & Company'. Do you think I'll be abe to put that in my essay?

I've been listening to the brilliant Down the Line and I've just got to the second episode of series 3 only to find that they start discussing Logopolis half way through! The show then goes on teo ask if Doctor Who has got too gay!
In the next episode Gary Bellamy has bought a cyberman voice changer mask.
So who's the Who fan on the Down the Line writing team then? Charlie Higson?

Not according to his introduction to the re-released 'Target book' The Crusade, he's not!

It could be Rhys Thomas. He's contributed to a Doctor Who book.

Hustle actor Adrian Lester has just revealed that he would like to play Doctor Who on Graham Norton's Radio show. He's had talks with his agent.

Who knew that the Troughton title sequence won award way back in 1968? http://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-b...octor-who-1968
