Default SJA Series 5 - Trailer!

    Ready those hankies...
    Wonderful news!

It was announced in Doctor Who Magazine today that the BBC has confirmed that the final episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures, recorded in 2010, will air in the autumn – most likely to be October – on CBBC and BBC One. No change there then.

Russell T Davies told Doctor Who Magazine “We had completed only stories 1, 2 and 3 from series five, each a two-parter in the traditional format. The first one is called Sky, by Phil Ford, the second is The Curse of Clyde Langer, also by Phil and the third is The Man Who Wasn't There by Garath Robers. All starring Lis alongside Daniel Anthony as Clyde, Anjli Mohindra as Rani and with Tommy Knight as Luke returning for a full two-episode appearance in the last story – so the gang's all together at the end.”

This is going to be hard to watch... I hope they go out on a high though! If anything, these will be a great tribute to Sladen.

Very good news. I'm looking forward to it. Tears at a children's show at my age, eh?

Shame Joe's episode was presumably in the half of the season they didn't get to film But nice and sort of fitting that the final ever episode is written by Old Man Roberts. Let's hope it's a good 'un.

"The Man Who Wasn't There" sounds like a good spooky episode to finish on.
If it's based on that "I met a man who wasn't there" rhyme. And "Sky", that's what I call minimalist!

It should just be called "S".

Interesting...if a bit brief! Bat cave indeed.

I had to watch it a few times as I thought the writing on the eye said "Cyndi Lauper".
Still, great to see it's coming back!

It would be nice if the unproduced scripts saw the light of day somehow, be it books, ebooks or perhaps readings from Anjli, Daniel and Tommy.

Saw this on telly just now and nice as it was to see I really hope I'm not going to find the winsome new girl too annoying!

Do we defiantly know she is going to be a regular? Does seem kind of likely though, as I guess they were looking for a permanent replacement for Luke at least

The trailer gives that impression. Well it's only six episodes and at least Luke's properly in the last two.

I do like that trailer. Great to see Floella back again and a lot less of the annoyingly winsome looking Sky.

Anyway just over 2 days to go now!

Bloody hell, I see they've made the daft decision not to show this on BBC HD again? Anyone got any info on it, are they going to show it in omnibus versions a week or two later like last year?

My friend who does some of the articles on Doctor Who newspage has had a reply from the BBC press office stating that BBC One (&HD) will repeat the episodes at a future date TBC. The entire series will, unfortunately, only be shown on CBBC for its first run.

Shame, I won't be watching it then. Can't concentrate with those annoying CBBC DOGs...

    Thanks for the reply.

Pleasure, just checked on BBC iplayer and that has a slightly less obtrusive BBC DOG which unfortunately accompanies everything on iplayer these days but it's a lot less distracting than the green CBBC one.

If anybody missed any of series 5 (that'll be me, then), they're repeating all six episodes tomorrow on the CBBC channel as part of a mini SJA marathon. It kicks off at about 9 am with the last few episodes from series 4.
