Clarence Clemons RIP
Just found this on Digital Spy:

He was one of the big reasons I enjoyed so much of Springsteen's earlier work. His solos on Born To Run, Badlands and Independence Day where especially memorable. A sad loss to music.

Sad news indeed. It's not often I feel genuinely sad about a celebrity death, but The Big Man just brought so much pleasure to so many. He was the heart and soul of Springsteen's E-Street Band, who just never sounded the same in his absense. He always got a rousing ovation from the crowd when introduced by Springsteen, much more so than the other members of the group.
When asked a year or two back how he'd like to be remembered, his answer? "When people hear or say my name, they've always got a smile on their face. What more could I ask for?"
RIP Clarence. You'll be sorely missed.
