Default Favourite Hats In Doctor Who

The Eleventh Doctor has tried the Stetson and the Fez, both of which are 'cool'.

But what are your favourite headgear and hats that have appeared in Doctor Who?

Peter Davison's hat is truly a thing of wonder. A fold up panama and the lovely red band round it. It's always been my favourite hat in the show.

I've always favoured the Archimandrite's hat in Androids of Tara. It's bright and colouful, it's got beads, it's a symbol of power.

Though of course the best thing about it might be that it's got Cyril Shaps underneath it

The Castrovalvans' hats are always good for a laugh.

The judges in the City of Millennius have amazing judicial headgear.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

That was a well judged review of their millinery.

I like McCoy's hat in season 24, where it's all battered and irregular, more than I do in seasons 25 & 26 where it's just too neat for me.

I'm the opposite, I can't stand the scruffy hat and matching hair style. It makes him like a "smelly old dosser". I prefer the more refined 25 and 26 version.

Surely this is the greatest hat in TV history...

And like all good hats it keeps the wig on and hides the stuntman.

    Does Gallifreyan headgear count?

    Is it really a hat?

Oh most certainly, the Galifreyan hats-cum-peacock-fancy-dress are rather marvelous!

But Liz's hat is better. It doesn't go with her outfit, but that doesn't matter. It's a monster of a hat that would go with anything.

I can't say that I had ever noticed the difference! I will have to look out for that now

This is a very good hat, although this picture is cropped to show almost none of it...

Dave - I'm sorry, but the purple lump on Tegan's head barely counts as a hat! :P

I can honestly say, I rarely start looking at pictures of Tegan by focussing on her hat.

Sorry, but I'm much more excited by the starfields than I am by a mere hat!
