    Default Font-tastic!

Season 14 saw the retirement of the Futura Extra Bold font for the opening and closing titles, and it being replaced with a new font, Della Robia (although this is often misidentified as Cantoria)

So, do you like the change of font, or do you think that Futura Extra Bold was better?

I like the new font. It's a bit hard to say why exactly. It seems to suit this season more than it suits the next few seasons though.

It just really fits in with these stories, doesn't it?

The mood of the stories in this season is either art deco or gothic - even in episodes set in the present or future. You only need to look at the sets to see that, whether it's the gorgeous wooden console room, or the interior of Storm Mine 4.

The new font fits the mood of this season well, as opposed to the feel of the next Season where everything looks futuristic in a Blake's 7 kind of blow-on-the-set-too-hard-and-it-might-fall-over kind of way!
