    Default It's too narrow!!

The original TARDIS prop served loyally for the first 13 years of the show, but after it infamously dented Liz Sladen's cranium, it simply had to go. Barry Newberry designed the new TARDIS prop for this season which remained in service to the end of Season 17 (with further guest appearences in Logopolis, Castrovalva and Black Orchid). So the TARDIS had a renovation inside AND outside this year. But what do you think of it? A squat, narrow-panelled mockery of what the TARDIS should be? A mastery of design that belongs to this era every bit as much as wooden roundels? Had you even noticed?

It's the worst Police Box prop they had on the show. It never looked good and seemed to get battered and broken much faster than the original one did. It looks terrible by the end of Season 17, especially with the police car light on top.

It's also got wooden, rahter than glass windows.

I kinda of like it even if it looks not much like a real Police Box.
