Alexander the Great, Alexander Bell and Patrick Troughton.

The first two as the share the same name as me. And Patrick as I can't think of anyone else famous called Alexander, and Patrick sounds like he would be fun to meet.

    Same question again.

What's the best app on your phone?
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

The power button - it allows me to turn the phone off, so preventing anyone from phoning me

Same question again for hopefully a less facetious answer.

Last FM. Quite pathetic really, it sends every song I listen to off to a database that I don't even look at. Coolest is probably the Google Sky Map which points out which constellation you're looking at. On a clear night.

How long can you go without blinking?

    Diminished by REM.

Now that REM have called it a day, what other bands should pack up their bags and quit?

No. I quite like their music, but they're essentially a fairly bog standard blues-rock band. Nothing special.

Aside from Doctor Who, what was the most recent tv series that you really got into?

Plenty of tea and rest. Failing that, a triple whiskey each night. That normally kills all the bugs!

How do you like to make your hot chocolate?

When its at its worst - full flowing mucus, hacking cough etc - spend 24 hours in bed with lots of Vic, Soothers and warming soup.
Experience has shown me that being brave and fighting your way into work just means the cold lasts a lot longer and you feel more rundown at the end.

I have an INSET day tomorrow to spend all day being perfomance managed and to managed other people. What's your experience, if any, of performance management ?

In a nutshell, knowing how to do your job and how anyone you are responsible for (if you're in a management position) is supposed to do their jobs.
