    Default The Dreaded Spam

    Spam is so annoying isn't it, one way or the other? Either you have to waste several minutes of your day deleting the bits that get through that shouldn't, or you're losing things that should appear but are dumped in your recycle bin instead.

    Do you automatically delete spam mail? I do, I have it detected, moved to trash and deleted without me checking it. I have to - it got to the point where I was having to check and delete spam from my Trash Can every 30 minutes (and once I've seen it, I have to deal with it; the curse of being a Ninja Monica sort). But now I'm sure I lose a lot of decent stuff in error. Yahoo Mail don't seem to ever get any better at sorting it.

    What's the point of it anyway? I can never understand it. Half of it doesn't even invite you to click anything, or do anything, it's just nonsense. Why do people send it? Are there people out there who just want to clog up the internet pathways for fun?

    certainly agree that spam e-mail can be bloody annoying and with all these computer viruses around you have to be so extra carefull not to open up any thing by mistake. But with me if I get any e-mail that i don't recognise I don't even open it and deleate it staright away.

    I used to have a block on all spam-Email and any received was directed straight into the spam folder unfortunantly I had to remove this block as it was effecting me getting and sending any e-mail that had attachments.

    At the moment I have 3488 spam messages dating from 22/12/1948 to 1/2/2008!!!



    Andrew is getting a bit annoyed about it, he keeps telling me to delete them all.

    My junk filter never quite seems to do what it's supposed to; I still get the porn and Viagra ads but have to check my junk mail box every so often because it sees certain people's work email addresses as junk...
