    Default Doctor Who Unbound

Well, I've taken the plunge and bought both the eight Unbound plays, and the first eight Eighth Doctor & Lucie plays. So, since Big Finish also kindly gave me the option of downloading all of these, I'll be looking into the Unbound plays first, and reviewing them as I go along, encouraging discussion etc.

I hope some of you will join me in this!

I really enjoyed most of the Unbounds, so I'll be looking forward to seeing what you make of them Ant.

I quite enjoyed the one most people didn't, so it'll be interesting what you make of it, Ant. I won't mention the title as I don't want to colour your judgment.

I have heard most of them before, but not really since they originally came out! I'm looking forward to re-examining them eight years on!

I think I know the one you meant, and I rather enjoyed it the first time round. Let's see if it's still the same now that I'm older.

If it's the one that springs to mind I was working for a supermarket at the time it was released so that gave me a rather interesting perspective on it. I don't think I've listened to any of these for ages except for He Jests at Scars which I listened to about six weeks or so ago as I knew I'd be meeting Michael Jayston at a convention last month but I'd definitely up for giving the others a re-listen in the near future.

Since I've now split off the reviews of the first three audios into their own individual threads, this is now more of a general thread. So, I would like to ask the following more general questions:

    1. How do you feel about the whole Unbound range? Was it a good idea?
    2. Do you think it was successful, or an experiment that went dreadfully wrong?
    3. Did the two "sequel" stories live up to their originals at all? Were they better?
    4. Would you want more Unbound adventures?

Darn - think I just answered your questions at the He Jests At Scars Thread lol!

Overall - and I've not heard them all - but I did like the idea of the Unbound series of audios over the usual audios, for their ability to play out "What If" Doctors.

Ordinarilly in Big Finish audios they have to be able to slip the adventures between what was already there, but with Unbound they could be that much bolder, which really helped the stories.
Remember, just because Davros is dead doesn't mean the Dalek menace has been contained ......
