I saw a charity shop at the weekend that was giving away videos, so perhaps their day has finally come.

I was in my local Curry's a few weeks ago and they still had a combined video/dvd player for sale.

Well that's Currys for you.

I was in my local Currys "Super" Store last week to take a look at the picture quality of a new HD TV I'm thinking of buying. I soon noticed that NONE of the high definition tvs on display (tens of thousands of pounds worth, about a quarter of the store) were being fed a high definition signal. They all were showing SD pictures.

For a company that are more than happy to try and sell you an over-inflatedly priced HDMI lead, that they might try using one themselves...
