    Default Trilogy Wish List

2|Entertain seem to be releasing some trilogies at the moment. Well, we've had The Beginning and New Beginnings so that's two!

Of course, this leaves me wishing they'd find more really loosely themed trilogies of Doctor Who stories to release on DVD. Which ones would you like to see? We may as well include DVD's they've already released. Nothing like getting the fans to buy them twice

My favourite would be The Space Museum, The Chase, The Time Meddler. That would be just lovely

Thing is though, New Beginnings has the Master to connect each story, and it's a clearly defined trilogy of stories - The Space Museum, The Chase and The Time Meddler don't have a special something to connect them, they just happen to run into each other. So the chances of actually getting them together would be a bit slim.

But I agree, it'd be nice. It'd save me spending a tenner on Space Museum.

I'd hate for them to release anything in box sets that weren't next to each other as far as story number, unless they were just shrink wrapped together with no box theme. Because on my shelf the stories have to be in order...

They can still do the Black Guardian Trilogy though...

well the obvious ones and as far as I can think only linked trilogies left are The E-Space & Black Guardian trilogies of the two the Black Guardian would be my choice..

other trilogies i'd not mind seeing-

Ice Warrior Trilogy - The Ice Warriors, Curse of Peladon, Monster of Peladon

The Davison 2 parters -Back Orchid,The Awakening,The Kings Deamons

The Time crap trilogy - The Time Monster, Time Flight, Timelash

Not trilogies, but we can still hope for Trial of a Timelord boxset, and you all can home to get Key to Time as a box...

The Time crap trilogy - The Time Monster, Time Flight, Timelash
@ the title - however, it would be even more crap in my eyes with Time Flight replaced by Time and the Rani!

My favourite three consecutive ordered stories have already been released separately - Robots, Talons and Fang Rock. For a themed trilogy it would definitely be E-Space - I love the first story, really like the second one and don't mind the third one.

I'd like the Season 17 Rubbish Monster Trilogy please, comprising of Creature from the Pit, Nightmare of Eden and Horns of Nimon.

I'd like the companion goes swimming trilogy!

'Invasion of Time', 'Planet of Fire' and 'Paradise Towers'

The box could have a picture of a towel on it!

I want the Turlough's Beginnings boxset. (formerly known as 'The Black (& White) Guardian Trilogy').

Or maybe the Space Beginning With An 'E' Trilogy, formerly known as the E-Space Trilogy.....

    "Planet" without "Frontier" is controversial!

True, but to be serious, i'd only want Trilogy's of chronological stories anyway. Which doesn't leave that many options with a continuity link, Except for E-Space & Black Guardian triology, possibly.
If it was up to me, i would release every story totally seperately, including the the 2 trilogy's that have already been released.

I'm not sure about trilogys but a Spiders/Robot combo would be fanstastic - oh why not slap on Monster for good measure?

Spiders / Robot would be a winning combo for me! Although it would be absolutely essential to package it with a little toy Giant Robot and a real, live Spider. Monster of Peladon could be represented by a Miner's badger wig. It could be called 'CSO Beginnings'.

I want a box set which features the most formidable chins in Doctor Who. It'd be called "New Big Chin-ings".

    Me too, as it goes!
There's probably a few double stories that would work well.
    Frontier/Planet - Double best Nemeses.
    Spiders/Robot - Double best Doctors.
Day of the Daleks/Terminus - Double best knickers.

Perhaps Black Orchid could be released under the banner "Who's Big Innings".
Twin Dilemma, Attack of The Cybermen and Vengeance on Varos would probably have to be called "The Beginning of The End" though

Can we have stories with a musical element, "Talons", "Delta and the Bannermen" and "The Gunfighters" in the "New Big Singings" box set?

    I like the Planet trilogy!

We could have a trilogy of the three different versions of Shada the BBC Video release, a version with the footage that Ian Levine sat on and the McGann remake. It could feature Victoria Burgoyne doing a commentary on all three and be called ... New Burgoynings.

How about a trilogy of trilogies?

    That'd be value for money.

I'd like to see a complete Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee trilogy followed by a complete T.Baker, Davison, C.Baker trilogy.
