So will you be doing Season 22 next January then Jonno?

Me and Steve watched The Day of the Doctor together for the first time on Friday. It's a great episode. Gets better every time I see it!

It's the only recent episode I've wanted to watch again straightaway - and we've watched it a third time since then. I've had the odd moan about Mr Moffat's Who (no, it's true, I have) but I find it hard to fault his anniversary special - it hits so many notes, does so many things, and has so many little moments, that as a celebration of what Doctor Who is, and of why Doctor Who is so brilliant, it's just about perfection. I'm glad you & Steve enjoyed it Si.

I was very impressed with it too! It certainly pressed the right buttons for me!

It's The Curse of Fatal Death. Flipping nora it's an absolute bag of s***e. Steven Moffat and Richard Curtis must never, never write for Doctor Who proper.

More horrifically, almost everything that has happened in TCOFD has appeared in the new series. It's all very well teasing us with the Doctor kissing and getting married, but it's almost passé these days.

We're off to find The Key To Time this evening on our new Friday Night Whos.

Good luck, I hope you find it!!

For m'self, other than Castrovalva part 1 back in January, and Hide on BBC Four a month or so ago, I've not seen any Who this year... but now that I've finished Blakes 7 series 1 of a Saturday morning, I'm revisiting the 2005 run. Rose last weekend for the first time since 2008, and tomorrow all being well it'll be The End of the World. It seems such a long time ago now, doesn't it?

Really enjoying Mind. Loved the scene in Part 4 where The Master's worst nightmare (The Doctor of course) appears to him tall, menacing and mocking. I'd forgotten how good Delgado was in the part. The scenes between him & Pertwee sparring off each other are a joy to behold. Nice performance from Michael Sheard too playing such a sympathetic character - a complete opposite to Mr Bronson. Just goes to show what a fine actor he was!

Watched Warriors of the Deep with the kids (Rhiannon's choice) and we're now watching Two Doctors (Kieran's choice). WOTD got a far better reaction from the kids than its ever had from me.

Pirate Planet is my favourite Key story. It's gloriously bonkers! I hope to watch all Key To Time stories this year sometime....

Well worth doing. The agreed adjective for The Pirate Planet was 'Magnificent' despite some very, very appalling acting from the supporting cast. Not Rosalind Lloyd though, who is a bit of an unsung hero of the story. She pitches her part as the Nurse just right, slowly moving from the background to the frontlight.

Part 3's cliffhanger is still brilliant, and Tom's "punch the air and grin" short right at the end, wonderful!

This morning's breakfast delight was "The Unquiet Dead", one I enjoy more & more each time I watch it (for shame). Is it actually impossible to watch the "do my books last" bit without tearing up? I think it may be.

Coming with next Saturday's breakfast, (part 1 of) my favourite of the season!!

I've recently rewatched Adventure in Space & Time. Nice tear-jerker with a warm emotional ending.

Rhiannon chose Remembrance of the Daleks. All three of the kids enjoyed that one, especially Aidan.

I've just watched Remem.o.t.Daleks myself on the Horror channel. I really enjoyed it. I got really nostalgic for the music, that brought back lots of good memories.

We caught the end too. The scene of the Doctor vs Davros is probably one of my favourite scenes in the whole of Who. Really well played by McCoy and Molloy.

    Just watched The Idiot's Lantern

I thought Maureen Lipman was really menacing in this one. Didn't like Tennant's quiff. I much prefer him floppy. The actor playing Mr Magpie reminded me so much of Kenneth Connor.

    Hungry, Hungry!!!!

I didn't 'do' Remembrance, but I have watched all of An Unearthly Child & Terror of the Autons over the past day or so, courtesy of the Horror Channel - plus I've got Brain of Morbius and (heaven help us) Caves of Androzani on the Skybox for later. And I see that The Daleks starts tomorrow!!

It's a bit hard to tell when it's still a bit murky, but am I right in thinking that AUC was the 'restored' DVD version?
