That's a relief, I thought it was just me and I was going mad (appropriate, I guess, for a thread called Asylum!!)

    You're all mad!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I shall now be referring to the USS Monkerprise whenever I talk about Star Trek!

Clearly we need to have a PS Audio story in which the Doctor starts turning into a spaceship for some reason.

It's a premise that's surely demanding to be written...

    The Impossible Spaceship?

    The Doctor's Warp Drive?

    Quick, to the typewriter...

It'll only spend ages talking about the Doctor's massive torpedo, or how he vents plasma

    Sample dialogue:

    "Are you alright, Doctor?"
"Ow! I think I've detached my saucer section."

    "What's that smell?"
"Oops! Had a bit of a Warp Core breach there. I think I'd better get down to engineering."
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I'm actually trying to see if I can fit a slightly less facetious variation of this into my own existing story idea which I will get around to writing the pitch for one of these days...

Just you wait! I've finally started typing out my initial idea and it looks even more ridiculous written down than it sounded in my head!

You don't know what a 'Brinck' is you, do you Richard Brinck-Johnsen? It's a German and Dutch surname meaning 'Village Green'. But before it was 'Village Green', it was evil.

    I'm just saying.

Ah but that's actually Brink without the all important "c" which isn't the same thing at all.

That said googling Brinck all I can seem to find is the Danish entrant for the 2012 Eurovision song contest. Could be a distant relative though!

Yeah - I had the same problem.

I guessed that one was the corruption of the other. Where does the middle name come from, if I may ask?

The name in its current form goes back to my great-grandfather who brought it back into use or made it up entirely depending on how much Norwegian family legend I choose to believe.

Anyway before everyone else falls asleep shall we get back to looking forward to the new play tomorrow?

No need to be nervous, Si - that was excellent.

More to say after another listen but the biggest OMG wasn't the cliffhanger, it was the use of Meat Loaf (or at least Jim Steinman) in the music !!
