North Berwick, Scotland
I visited this lovely coastal town last week. I packed my chunky jumper and fleece jacket, but stayed in jeans and t- shirt all day. The weather was beautiful. I didn't have to put a jumper on until the evening when I tried out a bit of night photography. I used my Sony A330.

Loving this thread. Some amazing images.
Anyone ever tried HDR Photography? It's something I've been playing with quite a bit recently. It's where you exposure bracket a shot, then marry up the original shot with the underexposed and overexposed versions, using Photoshop or specialist software.
What you get is something slightly hyper-real, that would have been impossible to capture in a single shot.
Here's a before and after example:

Oo - that's a weird effect. Nice though

Really nice pics there. Where is that ruin? It looks familiar but I can't place it.

It's a Benedictine ruin up here in County Durham called Finchale Abbey.
Just a couple of miles from where I live.

Wombat, those photos are superb!
In July, I took the best holiday of my life (so far) and spent three weeks in Australia with my girlfriend. We travelled from Melbourne to Queensland (Port Douglas & Cairns) to Sydney and Blue Mountains. The experience was amazing!
I took a record 700 photos and have been selecting my favourites. Here are 20(!) from New South Wales.

Vienna
I spent an extended weekend in Vienna with my girlfriend last month. It ws freezing and beautiful. The architecture is amazing and the cafes were very good for warming us up when it got too cold.
