Planet Skaro's DVD of 2011 Poll

This is not a scientific poll, and I will be doing a separate poll for the classic series box sets. I make this 9 stories from 2011:

Meglos
The Mutants
The Ark
Planet Of The Spiders
Frontios
Paradise Towers
The Sun Makers
Day Of The Daleks
Colony In Space

Obviously, I know you think they are all as great DVD releases as the next one, but I'll leave this poll open forever, you don't have to vote just yet.
That said, I've voted for Day Of The Daleks as my Doctor Who DVD 2011.

Sorely tempted by Planet of the Spiders, just because it had the 100-minute edit on there (something I think should also have been done with Genesis and The Sea Devils...)

But to be honest, it can only be Day of the Daleks, can't it?

Day of The Daleks by a hundred miles!

Though the documentary and the commentary for 'The Sunmakers' made me re-appraise that story a great deal, it's much better than I realised. That can only be a good thing.

Funnily enough, although it was thrilling at Riverside, looking back on Day now I just feel annoyance, because of the silly bits they changed and making Pertwee into a double murderer.

My runners up is "Paradise Towers", always a favourite story and the documentary on it was really good. It's a really interesting period of the show, as they wrestled it back from the brink.

But my winner is "Planet of the Spiders". Classic adventure and some lovely stuff on the planned end to the Pertwee years and Barry Letts, a true legend.

Day of the Daleks, for me but then I don't think it's been a great year for releases.

Next year's off to a flying start, though, with The Daemons and The Face of Evil (not to mention The Sensorites) announced already.

Plus the Revisitations box set everybody's been waiting for, and (for me at least) another box to start the year that includes two of my best-loved 'not-classics'.
