One of the things I used to looks forward to most at Christmas when I was small was receiving the Doctor Who Annual. The first Christmas I got given one was Christmas 1980, and along with the Talking K9 I got given it was my favourite present.

Adventures with the Doctor. Romana and K9

So come back with me to 1980, to the 1981 Doctor Who Annual as I read you the story, Alien Mind Games....

Thanks for that Si - a most enjoyable story. I love your K9 impression by the way - John Leeson has some SERIOUS competition

I only had one Doctor Who Annual - the 1978 edition, and I devoured it! Although some of the artwork was extremely dodgy, and Sarah Jane looked more like Leela!

I'm so sorry the treats have been a bit delayed by illness this week.

The second set of treats are from the PS Audio Massanicassa....

First of all there's the outtakes! A 5 minute trip through the fluffs and mistakes: http://www.planetskaro.org.uk/Massan...saouttakes.mp3

As those who've paid attention know, Massanicassa had a long and difficult production history and lead to major changes being made to the storyline as we went along, to get round certain difficulties. Some of the changes included a different ending and a different cliffhanger to episode 3...

The original cliffhanger to episode 3 was this- http://www.planetskaro.org.uk/Massanicassa/scene31.mp3

    Hope you enjoy them

And here is ANOTHER Christmas Treat -

A Christmas Video Treat - It's an eight minute adventure for everybody's favourite metal pooch, K-9!

Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

This is my favourite treat of all. I did the narration and Steve did the video to accompany it

Aw thank you for the K9 story - another festive treat eh? My you are spoiling us Thanks for putting this together Steve & Si. Paddy's music was well chosen - really puncuated the story. Loved the last frame - you've clearly had this book for some time!

I got the book back sometime in late 1980 for being good at school (and the other three in the set soon followed!). It's been much loved over the years!
