    Default Mini-Best-Ofs

What would go on the Mini-Best-Ofs of your favourite musical acts? 5 songs max!

Here's a couple to get started. Of course, I'm now 33 and now woefully out of date, musically.

    New Order:
    Bizarre Love Triangle
    True Faith
    Close Range
    Regret
    Your Silent Face

    Kate Bush:
Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)
    How To Be Invisible
    Hounds of Love
    Wuthering Heights
    Lily

    Tell us yours!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

    Dancing Queen
    Knowing Me, Knowing You
    Super Trouper
    The Winner Takes It All
    One of Us

    David Bowie
    Space Oddity
    Changes
    Golden Years
    Ashes to Ashes
    Everyone Says Hi!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

    A Seriously Brief Guide To...

    Jimi Hendrix

    Manic Depression
    Bold As Love
    Burning Of The Midnight Lamp
    Machine Gun
    Night Bird Flying

    Pink Floyd

    Interstellar Overdrive
A Saucerful Of Secrets (Umma Gumma version)
    Echoes
    Time
    Comfortably Numb

I tried doing more but ended up with a headache! More about leaving off certain tracks. If you don't, I might start a thread about Mini-Best of's about Doctor Who Doctors.

Do these have to be Top 40 hits, or any song from an artist / band? I need to know Da Rulz :-)

It's your Mini-Best-Of, Dave - if you had to compile a best-of from an artists' back catalogue (no limits on singles or album tracks) what would you choose?

Of course, you can make up your own rules if you like! No songs with the letter 'a' in the title is a good'un.

I was thinking what 5 songs would I play someone to convince them that this is a great band/ artist myself, so not necessarily the hits.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

This is why The Beatles were the greatest band, everyone can make a list of 5 songs and they'd still be the right choices!

    I don't think that's right... it's more like this...

    Franz Ferdinand

    Do You Want To?
Eleanor Put Your Boots On (single version)
    Dark Of the Matinee
    No You Girls
    Take Me Out

(hmm, actually, that's not terribly different)

Mr Hart I think we need to combine our Rufus list (oops typed lust there - Freudian slip) to form a "Maxi Best Of". Limited edition of course ;-)

It's probably best not to share our Rufus lust!
