I know what you mean, Ghost Machine is third bottom in my list, but I really enjoyed it. It just shows how good this first season of Torchwood has been.

I haven't been that impressed by Torchwood. And the more I think about Cyberwoman in paticular the more I think it was absolutely terrible, if quite exciting. In paticular, the Cyberwoman outfit was an utterly tacky disaster.

The show works better without the CGI monsters too, as the recent episode shows.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Torchwood sucks like a Doctor Who fan in a convention hotel room.

It's getting harder! Very little between the first 4 eps.
If only S2 of new Who was up to this standard.

    1.They Keep Killing Suzie
"Simply stunning - by far the best episode of the series, and if they can top this in the last four episodes, then there's some absolutely unbelievable episodes to come."

    2.Ghost Machine
"I didn't find it tried to cram too much in, nor did I feel (as others have) that there was any filler. It's a perfect size."

    3.Countrycide
"I'd give 'Countrycide' eight bags of human flesh out of ten."

    4.Greeks Bearing Gifts
"'Greeks Bearing Gifts' was very disjointed but I liked it - not a lot, but I liked it. It was the funniest episode yet, it had the sexiest guest star yet, and Jack was even more like the Doctor than ever."

    5.Day One
"Much as I enjoyed seeing the formation of the Torchwood team in 'Everything Changes', it was more fun to see them actually working as a unit and investigating a real Torchwood-esque case."

    6.Cyberwoman
"If Pip cringed at the snog, or Owen's stiffy, I cringed every time GDL moaned 'I'm soooooooorrrrrrrry' or started weeping again."

    7.Everything Changes
"The swearing was a f***ing disgrace."

    8.Small Worlds
"Barrowman aside, this was really rather dreadful. Can I say... shall I... yes - I'll make my mind up and say that this was the weakest episode yet."

By the way, after re-reading my 'Cyberwoman' review, I spotted this rather less-than-brilliant prediction of what was to come...

...despite his pleas about her not resisting the kiss, Owen has less chance than me with Gwen, because of her infatuation with the ever-wonderful (but now grittier and darker) Cap'n Jack.

Yeah, but the classic series finished nearly 20yrs ago. TV is so different in the 21st century. On many levels the two are bit incomparable, IMO.

Last Night's episode (would have scored lower if Gwen's sex-talk hadn't been so entertaining!)

I can't remember half the titles now, let alone rank them! I've loved them all, but I couldn't put an order on them til I've seen them again on DVD.
