Virgin are knocking out Series 1 for £36.99 at the moment, but I have a feeling it might reach the £30 mark in the January sales.

I liked David Tennant's video diaries on last year's set. I thought they gave a little bit of an insight about his thoughts on the show- and the one on Christmas Day where he sits down to watch the show with his family was really heart warming.
But of course I rarely agree with anyone, and yes the set is overpriced for what it is.

At least someone on OG has found the Easter Egg:
"It's there all right, I just found it. I even got my script and read in Sally's part. I stopped when I realised I was pretending to be a hot blonde of my own creation talking to Doctor Who on my computer.
Steven Moffat"
His pervy smugness has destroyed my entire Whodom, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah...

Got mine yesterday, watched the deleted scenes & out-takes (nice to see them un-filmised), and then checked out the Easter Egg, which wasn't too hard to find.

The packaging is extra shiny! The photos don't do it justice. Although there's another photoshop jobby of Mr.Saxon on one of the inside sleeves.
Er... and that's as much as I've seen of itPity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Freema's tour of the production complex was good. Lots of enthusiasm, lots of cool stuff to see and lots of shots of Freema from behind.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?
If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

They should've kept the Doctor's full list of instructions in 'Human Nature'...

I have enjoyed the glimpses of DT's DVD collection- all the Classic Who dvds, series one and Blake's 7. The video diaries are really enjoyable. He puts so much effort into them- which considering how much work he does on the series as it is, is really rather lovely.

I did the video diaries in one go the other evening, they were just so engrossing
And yes, hurrah for Tennant owning all the classic series, and mentioning Kinda! I bet he's a real fanboy when the cameras are off.

I enjoy this set and think it is far superior in quality than the previous 2. I am aware some dislike Helen Raynor's Dalek episodes but they are in fact my favorite Dalek story of the revial series.
Also enjoyed the pilot, Blink and The Halloween-appropriate Shakespere Code. Human Nature was a bit hard to adjust to but The Family of Blood was a worthy climax.
Last but least, The Master story arc was gripping, as were the seeds laid down in the haunting Gridlock, the Aliens-like 42, and otherwise mediocre The Lazarus Experiment.
In fact The Dr Lazarus episode is the only genuine weak link that I see this series.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but Voyage of the Damned is scheduled for DVD release on March 10th.

I picked up a copy of the Series 3 boxset today in my local Tesco for £26
I hadn't been planning on buying this at the moment but at that price, it was too hard to resist! It scanned the full price at the till though, so I'm not sure if this is a Tesco special offer at the moment or if someone just put the wrong price tag on it. All the same, I still got it for £26 and it's worth checking out if any of you have a Tesco store locally.
