Mighty Boosh is awful and, even worse than that, it's got such a "kooky n trendy" reputation that if you say you don't like it you open yourself up to accusations of wearing tweed and liking My Family. Fans don't seem to get that it's possible to like surreal and envelope-pushing comedy, but still think that the Mighty Boosh is still utter bilge.

Can I be the lone voice here and say that J'adore Are You Being Served?

    You've all done very well!

I'm not a fan either, which is odd as I like Family Guy (at least some of the time) and love American Dad, but The Cleveland Show leaves me cold. It seems so forced and none of the characters have any real depth, and like you I think they should have given another character a spin off - a Mayor West one could have been especially brilliant.

Does Family Guy count as a comedy I don't get?

Until very recently I didn't enjoy Mrs Brown's Boys, but my opinion has since changed

Maybe it would be easier for Jon to make a list of the comedies he does like... if there are any.

The original Reggie Perrin was just great. However the remake with Martin Clunes was diabolical!

Quite, so was The Legacy of Reggie Perrin starring most of the original cast, made, surprisingly, sixteen years ago.

Oops, I need to pay closer attention. I thought that was a supplemental list of MORE shows he didn't like!

From the last 30 years, offhand it's only Blackadder, Brittas, Sorry, One Foot in The Grave and Yes Minister that I've had any time for at all. And Drop the Dead Donkey. Oh yes, and The New Statesman. It's almost as if British TV has forgotten to make programmes that are funny and that don't resort to swearing for cheap laughs. And sorry Jeff, but I don't think the Americans ever knew; that or I never got their humour: MASH is the only one I did get.

Ralph - I think you should watch Psychoville. If you enjoy horror movies, or even Hitchcock movies (specifically thinking of 'Rope') then you'll probably love it.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!
