NME, they say:
The Spice Girls have added four extra dates to their world tour.
The reunited girl group announced their reunion jaunt at a press conference last month (June 28) and asked fans to log onto Thespicegirls.com to register for tickets.
In a statement regarding this, the band said: "In true Girl Power tradition we are taking over the world...again.
"We have just found out that we've had over 3 million ticket requests on the website. As our own VB (Victoria Beckham) would say, that is MAJOR!!"
The band have added dates in Canada, China and San Jose. They have also launched the Spice City campaign, which gives the fans the chance to vote on which town the band should play.
They said: "If we haven't announced a date near you, you can still vote for your city to become 'Spice City'... For one night only, exactly where we perform is down to you and your votes...we are literally in your hands."
The full dates are:
Canada, Vancouver (December 2)
USA, San Jose (4)
USA, Los Angeles (7)
USA, Las Vegas (8)
USA, New York City (11)
UK, London (15)
Germany, Koln (20)
Spain, Madrid (23)
China, Beijing (January 8)
China, Shanghai (10)
China, Hong Kong (12)
Australia, Sydney (17)
South Africa, Cape Town (20)
Argentina, Buenos Aires (24)Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I don't see why they can't do more than one night in London, their hometown...

Because the British press are ambivalent towards them?
Spice Girls and Genesis - united in adversity and lack of UK concerts!!!!Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I would've thought the Spice Girls would've felt themselves popular enough to have sold out more than one UK concert...
Genesis did two, but after fifteen years away, they said they weren't sure how they stood with the UK... they needn't have worried. Tony Banks was surprised at how quickly the gigs sold out, and said if they'd realised they would have planned a few more dates, but sadly that's the way it goes...
There's rumours they might return to the UK before Christmas for some low-key theatre dates, just like they did back in 1992 for the Way We Walk tour... but it's unlikely.

I would be amazed if they aren't about to add more UK dates. If not to London then another city or more via this "vote a city" thing the website is doing. I wouldn't be surprised if they end the tour in the UK with a week at Wembley or wherever.

"I'm not from London you know."

I will be amazed if they do not add a load more London gigs. I'm sure Take That started of with ab out 8 gigs and within 20 minutes had added about 30 more.

"I don't know why we're talking about Take That. This is different, it's bigger!"

I agree, it's much bigger. We just need some more UK dates.

It's good to agree with Melanie Janine Brown. I fear what she does to people who don't. She's scary.
"That's my name."

Bunton's ladyflaps have finally expelled her first born!
A boychild called Beau is the latest in the Spice creche.

Beau Jones has rather unfortunate initials.
Randomly but truely, when I was in The Topman Shop earlier they played "The Lady is a Vamp".
That crowd pleaser.

I believe it to be officially in the group's Greatest Hits sheet music.
Along with that other chart topper Do It.

The cover is awful.
It's nice that it nods to the "classic" Spice design but did it have to do so in such a cheap and nasty way. Nasty horse cum!

It's all go in Spiceworld...
The newly married Melanie Janine Belafonte is doing a "Bunt" and appearing on "Dancing With The Stars", albeit the USA version. Chis has said that the group are working on one or two new songs for the Greatest Shits album and HMV.CO.UK is listing versions of the album with a DVD...http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/simpleSe...s&primaryID=-1
It had better be all the videos including the promo-cobbled together clips one for "If You Wanna Have Some Fun".
And if all that wasn't enough some previously unseen and semi official footage from one of the Spiceworld Tour concerts featuring Geri from Paris 1998 has leaked out on the web. It's not quite perfect as the stuff that was shot to appear live on the big screens above the stage so it's mostly close up and full of graphics and wotnot but it's nice to finally see some rare footage of all 5 girls on the tour whereas before all we had was post Geri footage...

It's like 1997 all over again but with smaller mobile phones.

1st Oct 2007, 12:48 PM #95The Spice Girls reunion concert in London has sold out in 38 seconds after fans who registered for tickets online were notified they had gone on sale.
More than one million people in the UK registered for the concert, which takes place on 15 December at the O2 arena.
"It was a dramatic moment - the sales went live and there was a huge surge as fans bombarded the lines," said Ticketmaster's boss Chris Edmonds.
Two dates - 16 and 18 December - have been added to the tour.
Tickets for these two dates are currently being sold to fans, who were alerted to the sales by text and e-mail.
In July the group added a further three dates to the tour, and will perform in Vancouver, San Jose, California and Shanghai after kicking off the tour in Canada on 2 December.
The full line-up has not performed on stage since Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell quit in May 1998.
Si.
