    Default RIP Davy Jones.

Reports are coming in that Davy Jones of The Monkees has died of a heart attack aged 66. He was the cheekiest Monkee of them all.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I'm really sad - I love The Monkees. I saw them live last year and they put in a spirited performance - especially Davy Boy.

I am genuinely really sad to hear this. The Monkees were the first band I was really into and have meant a lot to me over the years. Not to mention the fantastic records Davy contributed to.

Very sad news - I've loved The Monkees since watching the TV series as a kid, and hearing their music at the same time, music which has really stood the test of time. Rest in peace, Davy.

Terribly sad news. He was a couple of years younger than my Dad which kind of makes you think.

I have fond memories of when they repeated the TV series that launched the band to fame.

    RIP

We've just found a station on our antenna at the new house that has the show, so it has been on lately at our house.

I too was shocked and saddened to hear this news. I remember watching the series back in the late sixties and hearing their music on "the wireless" you never think about anyone like this dying, that they're gonna be around forever, then you find they're gone.

RIP Davy Jones, the cheekiest Monkee of all.

Very Sad news , Remember watching the shows as a kid and loving them even though they must of been 30 years old at that point. Wen't to see them live at Wembley Arena when they did a come back tour many years ago.

I loved the TV shows, I liked Head and I remember one of their compilations on a tape.
    RIP Davy.
