Oh giraffes definitely. Not for their crazy necks but for their very cute eyelashes!

    Apple juice or orange juice?

Tigers - "Ah me I see the ruin of my house, The tiger now hath seized the gentle hind;" - Sorry just having a Samuel Barnett moment there!

    How are you feeling today?

I liked him in Quantum Leap.

I'm feeling ON TOP OF THE WORLD! I think I must have caught some of Doctor Landstrom's feelgood virus!

    How about you?

    "Oh boy!"

I feel like I've lost all rational judgement. I'm not unhappy just feeling like I need to let off some steam. I think throwing something across the room would make me feel better but alas I'd rather keep my job!

Are you watching any of today's Olympic events (on TV or online)?

Distant Sun by Crowded House. It means so much to me. Absolute bliss in 3.5 minutes.

What colour socks are you wearing right NOW?

I'll let you know as soon as the rain stops.

Are you a Terry Pratchett fan - I've tried, I really have, but I just can't rave about Discworld. Am I alone???

I didn't get on with the earlier Discworld books, but the Sky adaptation of Going Postal was wonderful. Also 'Nation' (a non-Discworld adventure) is one of my favourite books of all time. Like 'Lord of The Flies' only with a positive attitude towards human nature.

Do you prefer books with happy endings?
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I do indeed prefer happy endings.

Looking at my reading history, it seems sci-fi books for the most part. But I alway try to expand my range, reading classics and books from other genres.

How long do you think you could go without eating?

I've regularly gone 3 days, and occasionally 4. Wouldn't choose to go beyond that.

When you're hungry, what do you most commonly crave?

Thta's a difficult question, because it varies so much depending on the time of day i feel hungy. Quite often it seems to be a bacon sandwich though.

    How was your weekend?

Quiet, looked after my brothers dog, watched the Olympics, watched Claws of Axos.

How has your day been so far?

Moderate. I'm rather tired after the weekend, and in realised at lunchtime I'd forgotten to book some cover for the afternoon shift, so had to it on my own.

How weird do you like your Doctor Who?

Most of the time I like it very Doctor Who-ey, which is only slightly weird, but ever so often it's nice to totally mix things up and have a Very Weird Indeed Doctor Who, one which just throws you and tries to be different.

Have you been watching The Return Of Sharon and if so, what did you think?

I have to say, I haven't - I know this may not be a popular opinion, but I think that EastEnders is a vile, hateful programme and I would not be sorry if it disappeared from our screens. However, Letitia Dean is lovely and she was wonderful on Strictly Come Dancing a few years back and I'm happy that she's back on our screens (even if I'm not watching) in the role that made her famous. Gawd bless 'er!

I'm decidedly unsavoury. Though my tastebuds prefer savoury. I'm far more likely to choose a starter than a dessert- though my Achilles heel is a damned fine proper ice cream.

So. Ice cream. What's your favourite?

That shaving your beard means a lot of bits of hair flying around.

    Kate Bush or George Bush?
