I do like them both, but I think I probably love Kate Bush more.

What was the last play you saw at the theatre?

The last one I saw was a modern version of Macbeth in the Trafalgar Studios, London with James McAvoy in the title role.

What was the last concert you went to?

    Mr Benn.

Who's your favourite stand up comic?

  8. #783

Probably a Cinderella pantomime in the mid 80's
    Manic Street Preachers, Liverpool 2010
The end title music for Droids, the C3-PO/R2D2 cartoon series who's end theme was written by the bloke out of the Police was wasn't Sting or Andy Summers.
    Mr Men.
Argh! See, I don't go to many stand up clubs. I'm out of the loop on that one.
I'm not too much into his stand up bits, but I did like Frankie Boyle's sketches.
But as for stand up... pfffft... Bill Hicks still count? I preferred him to Dennis Leary.

So... the book about JNT or the book about Blake's 7.
If I wanted a book of wonder and interesting stuff I didn't know about, but could only buy one...

    Which should I get?

Blake's 7. Simply because it gets far less coverage, there's more likely to be stuff about it you didn't know - anything really new & exciting from the JN-T book is probably already splashed across the various forums! Plus I believe the B7 book is partly made up, so you're very unlikely indeed to know some of that stuff already! And if you want rare B7 facts, my colleague at work had heard of the show but didn't know that Blake was only in the first two series. Tt, what are they teaching young people nowadays...?

It's been up and down- I've had a lot of fun and had Steve home, went to the proms, had a lovely birthday, but I also crashed the car, so a bit of a mixed bag.

How tired do you feel today?

Ask me when I've woken up! Actually I'm alright now, but exhausted an hour before bedtime yesterday - the good night's rest seems to have helped.

    Batman I reckon.

Are there any superheroes who you can't stand?
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Don't ask about the Legion of Stupid Heroes then! You wouldn't want any dealings with Captain Jobsworth for instance...

Carpeted. I still have nightmares about my gran's funeral, when the chair on casters I sat upon at the wake went halfway across the room the moment I sat on it. Parquet floors - pah!

Both are great for different reasons.

Probably Broadchurch. I've enjoyed 'What Remains' recently, but only some of the new series of Who, and apart from that I don't know what else I've really watched (other than the usual regular round of panel shows I guess).

Oh hang on, no, change that answer. Broadchurch is knocked into number 2 slot (but to be fair only just) by Dallas - which was by turns ridiculous, barmy, absurd, baffling, nonsensical, exciting, unpredictable, extraordinary, and oddly moving. So although Broadchurch is probably the best show, the show I've most enjoyed was Dallas.

On a connected note, then, I read that David Tennant has been cast in 'a similar role' in the US version of Broadchurch. Do you think he has the potential to 'do a Patrick Stewart/Hugh Laurie' now, and become a huge international success as the UK frontman for a US show?

There's a simple way of doing it.

    "Richard - sort it out!"

I wonder whether it would help if they knew he was British? I mention this due to what I've heard - that he's going to have an American accent in it. (Not everyone's seen Harry Potter, I'm thinking.) Tell me if I'm misjudging the Americans, but it's often fairly obvious that the likes of Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellern, David McCallum et al are from over here whwn they've appeared over there.

Who do you miss the most?

Good question - I think the actual shade was called 'Nutmeg', a kind of off-white colour. They're due for a re-colour actually.

The Woman in Black please, though Chris De Burgh may actually be scarier...

So, ten weeks on, someone ought to answer.
We never suffered any personal or property damage due to the storms. My mum in Scarborough and my sister in Hull were less than a mile away from serious flooding but escaped. My dear rascal works for the EA though, so suffered a lot of hard work as a result.

So. Christmas was only 2 weeks ago. How long does it seem to you?
