Same question again for a sensible answer.

If you could make a good living from it, ironer. I love it. That's how sad I am. (Sad, but crease-free.)

What's your favourite new TV show this year?

I'm becoming dangerously attracted to the Link, for Mark William's slightly bizarre hosting style (and great Brummie accent) and for how astonishingly thick some of the contestants are.

The Ironside remake wasn't bad either (though no futher series).

Do I need to become more cultured ?

Just cock your little finger when you're drinking tea from your bone china cup - that'll be sufficient!

    Bob, Max, Les or Vernon?

Admittedly I can't vouch for Vernon as I've never seen his, but of the others my head says Bob but my heart says Max. So it's gotta be Max. (I still have fond memories of the anniversary special, where Les & Max were united against the evil computer while Bob could only offer occasional assistance on the scanner screen...)

I think that answer's OK, but what does our survey say...?

Trains. I used to like travelling by train, though these days I prefer the convenience of the car.

What's the best autobiography you've ever read?

Without doubt, Agatha Christie's. I really ought to read that again.

Clearly a tough question. Although I've not actually read it, I once saw the spine of this book in the WHS' Biography section:

-but was disappointed to discover that "SHUNT" was not the 'behind the scenes, kiss & tell, biography of the extraordinary Si Hunt' that I had expected.

But anyway, let's try another question:

Do you buy any magazines regularly?

I get Focus magazine every month, and the Sainsbury's mag. I've also started getting Bird Watching for when I become a man of leisure.

If you could afford to retire tomorrow, would you ?

Yes. I think I could adequately fill the next 40 odd years.

A cup of coffee that I've just finished.

Which old cop show would you like them to repeat on ITV4 ?

CHiPS. Though I bet it's awful.

Are there any school text books that you remember fondly? Or at all?

There was a maths A-level book that was red with blue swirls. If you looked at it too long it disorientated you a la The Avengers' Escape in Time.

Dark chocolate Hobnob - just long enough to start to melt the chocolate but strong enough to stay together.

Do you have to have your afternoon cup of tea ?

I am addicted to coffee. But I do like the occasional cup of tea and I often have one after getting home from work.

Would you accept a low offer for your house?

Nope. I'd rather redecorate to get market value or better. Case in point: we put my Father's house up for sale in April & got no interest what so ever. I was looking to get between 5K & 10K below asking price. We redecorated, dropped the price by 10K & got 2 offers, the final one being 5K over new asking price.

Has the housing market picked up more or less than you expected?

Not as much as we'd hoped, since we haven't been able to sell our place this year.

    From you, most certainly!

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Or has Tim gone and parked his bike illegally again?
