Perhaps they're afraid of upsetting rabid Doctor Who fans desperate for scheduling information!
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Despite previous reports, it's come out in the last few days that it will not be on BBC America until September 8th. Whether or not this means anything for BBC1 remains to be seen...

This doesn't come as a complete surprise given that last year episode 9 was delayed in America by a week because of the Labor day holiday weekend.
I suspect this is why the originally planned UK broadcast date of August 25th got put back by at least a week.
Well within the next 36 hours or so we'll hopefully know what's going on in the UK!

If it is the 1st September, of course, that'll be 33 years to the day since season 17 started, also with a Dalek story. If the forthcoming season is as good as season 17, I shall be very happy indeed.

I think we're on for the 1st- this week's Radio Times proclaims that next week it's all about the return of Doctor Who and many, many Daleks!
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I'm expecting next week's RT front cover to be awash with Daleks. I also want all the clues in the cryptic crossword to be Dalek-related!

Yes apparently the BBC America trailer the other night actually contained the incorrect broadcast date. These things happen I guess.
American and Canadian Whovians can now stand down their torrent sites!

A lot of time and money has gone into this series and they will want good ratings.
To get the transmission date wrong on the trailer is a pretty big "these things happen", IMO.
Si.

I vaguely remember an episode of Buck Rogers where Wilma was trapped in some kind of Sauna/lava room. Even as a very small boy of maybe 5 or 6 it aroused strange feelings in me.. Erin Gray may have very well been my first crush!

I looked up Sep 1st on the satellite yesterday and they were still showing a Doctor Who marathon all day Saturday, but they had the Christmas special in the timeslot where the new episode should be. I guess they will change that later. Thankfully DirecTV just recently upgraded BBC America to HD after all this time, so I finally won't have to torrent them, unless I find out they are cutting content.
