I agree with Andrew that The Prisoner must be longest title sequence of them all. Not that I think there's anything wrong with it, I think it's brilliant from start to finish and does a great job of doubling up as a pilot episode and setting up this weeks episode in minimal time...brilliant music from Ron Grainer as well!
I love that Avengers title sequence as well, although I also like the Tara King sequence with the suit of armour. I don't agree with Alex though about the original BG sequence, I just enjoy listening to that great theme...the same goes for the S1 Buck Rogers sequence...cheesy titles and great theme tune!

I'd like to vote for Sapphire & Steel....it may not be the longest time wise but that guff about "transuranic heavy elements may not be used where there is life..." is just wearing after the 6th episode. It was ok when I first watched it because that was in weekly installments but on the DVD it's just time wasted.
